Software Developer

Come help us build our industry-leading eManifest software! We're looking for ambitious, curious, and disciplined full-stack developers. As a Software Developer, you will collaborate with our team to implement new features, test and debug code, and other tasks relevant to delivering software as a service.


  • Highly motivated and capable of quickly writing production-quality code
  • Solid understanding of OOP, unit testing, and refactoring
  • Write client and server-side code for web applications.
  • At home on the client (HTML, JavaScript, React, CSS) as well as the server (Enterprise Java, MVC Frameworks, SQL, ORM)
  • Available to take on a full-time, permanent position on site
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience and learning

Nice to have:

  • TypeScript, GraphQL, Node, Express, WebSockets, Spring, and Kotlin
  • Mobile development, especially with React Native
  • Apache Tomcat, Postgres, Linux, Docker, and deployment techniques
  • Some familiarity with IntelliJ, Git, and Maven

eManifest Support Specialist

Border Connect is looking for enthusiastic, conscientious people to join our e-manifest/customer support team. The support specialist guides customers through our software, assists with new customer set-up, and processes e-manifests accurately and in a timely fashion. Successful candidates will have intermediate level computer proficiency, will be detail-oriented, and able to multitask. Successful candidates must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in a professional manner.


  • Accurately process time-sensitive documents
  • Verify the accuracy of team members’ work
  • Provide support for end users (tech support)
  • Guide new customers through the software

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Professional level communication skills verbal and in writing
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Listen and understand information provided orally and in writing
  • Communicate information professionally verbally and in writing
  • Intermediate level computer skills with typing speed of approximately 25 wpm
  • Customs and international trade knowledge preferred
  • Transportation Industry (trucking, logistics, dispatching) experience preferred
